Aubrey has a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto with a specialist in psychology. Following obtaining her Master’s degree she pursed 6 years of further training and supervision to become registered as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
She has worked in private practice for over 10 years, both in collaborative group practice and independently in solo practice and has completed internships with adolescents and young adults in academic settings. Currently she works with adults aged 18+ from diverse backgrounds in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues with self and others, life transitions, self-esteem, emotion regulation, suicidality and self-harm, and stress management. The overarching goal for all clients is helping individuals find more meaning and balance in their lives.
Aubrey works from an integrative trauma-focused approach based on a foundation of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, integrating aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Self Compassion, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy. She has worked with the WSIB Community Mental Health Program and the Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations and Inuit. She also offers supervision and consultation to students and young professionals.
